I pulled all my buckets out but havent had time to pull the spiles out. Friday and saturday their will be a good flow of sap. I was debating on puting all the buckets out again but Im going to let...
I'm calling it quits. Emptied the last remaining buckets in the forest, 80 gallons. Boiling it today and removing taps tomorrow. Same here Karen, glad I tapped in feb.
Land on your feet! If a cat can do it you can to!
Got to be carefully boy. Once you injure that back and neck it's reaccuring
Its been quite here
On another note. Looks like we might have another couple of days left in the season and time to pack it in.
That's awsome. I looked at mine early afternoon and nothing dripping
Did yours come out light to?
Boiled 35 gallons of sap and made 1 gallon of syrup....its a nice medium amber. Taste awsome!
I'm about 20 min from there but only made enough so far to share with friends and family. March is not looking good either. Looking at the forecast, it looks like our days are over.
Slow day here today, maybe 10 gallons. Should be on tommorow i hope
Yes it is! It might be to late to start boiling next weekend. Think ill have to start doing a few hours a night
Nothing but snow here today
No dripping here, but Im hoping for a good run to.
I to have 35-40 taps, home built barrel, bricked it inside, last boil i added a fan and got 8 gal an hour. Now looking into a home built RO to cut down thecamount of buckets. 16068

Collected 15 gallons of sap from the front yard and hardly nothing from the trees in the vally. Most of my trees are in the vally, go figure.
I dont really see the need for different length drop tubes. No deviders and front pan? You have the length
Nothing running today. I thought for sure their would be sap running today.
Maybe i should explain better. It didnt come out of the tree at 5 percent. It was about a quarter of the melting sap from a bunch of frozen pales of sap. Still have about 13 buckets of pure frozen...
Boiled 14 galons of 5 percent (unfrozen sap from buckets of ice) and finished 3 liters of syrup in 4 hours.
From my own testing. I say 4 percent
