I put out 60 taps today all running good.
Tapped about 50 sugar maples today and all were running. South facing Sloap with know snow on it. The north faces still have about 4-6 inches on them and will tap them in the next few days.
Got all my gear out and plan to tap next weekend. A few friends of mine in Clayton county tapped some trees yesterday and were running. The weather forecast made me decide to wait another week.
Ended up with about 7 gallons finished this year. Weather made things tough for me this season there’s always next year.
Another 55 gallons of sap today and hope to cook it down Tuesday. Are snow is almost all gone bought time😀

Tapped 30 trees today and most were running good. A lot of snow on the ground 2 plus feet in places. Had to drag a sled with all my gear to tap.
Might be two weeks for me to start. We have like 24” of snow and 10-20 below zero at night the next few days.
Made 3 gallons of syrup on sun and collected 60 gallons of sap today. Tested at 3% going to boil it down tomorrow.
Got 45gallons of sap this morning good start.

20 gallons fri and 45 today testing at 3%. Hope to boil Friday storage tank is almost full.
Tapped 20 trees today and hope they start flowing soon.p

Last year I made 4 gallons and used some of it
to cure my own bacon. Maple bacon smoked with Apple wood mmmhmm.

Sunday out of 9 trees I got 23 gallons and the sap tested at 4% suger. I'm a first timer and i'm real excited to cook it down and make some syrup:-)
Tapped sunday and sap was flowing. Snowed Monday now all lines frozen no sap:(
