For 2024 I tapped trees on 2/9/24 and thought I should have been tapping a week sooner based upon the what the weather was doing.
just adding this note here so I can look back in future years.

I would think the 1.5 would be fine. due you already have the 1.5 pipe on hand? if you have to buy it how much more would the 2.5 cost?

for the buckets we run twine string around the trees and put a hook on the twine string and then hang/hook the bucket to the hook to help keep the buckets from tipping over.
