Today we will begin pulling our taps in Charlotte. Overall, it has been a pretty good year. The weather wasn't too bad, we made a good amount of syrup, and no major equipment broke, including me. :)

So just to be clear, you use the same filter for concentrating and washing until it clogs?

If you are doing it that way how many concentration cycles are you getting out of the filter before it...

Are you swapping out the filter for cleaning or using the same one?

We are currently recirculating our sap up to 6-8% and then shutting down our 600GPH RO since we don't have a second tank large enough to pump the concentrate into. Our evaporator will do ~80 gallons...

Don is probably talking a face as that is primarily how it is sold in Michigan.

You're looking at ~$150 per cord around these parts and the amount that is seasoned is HIGHLY variable.

Getting a pretty good run today. Picked up 250 gallons since the vacuum kicked on a little after 1pm. For the last two hours the sugarbush has averaged about 55 gallons an hour.

Our sugarbush is slowing down but with the 22" of vacuum is still giving up ~30 gallons of sap an hour.

Either my RTD/PID is off or our elevations are much different because we were pulling off syrup at 217.5 today.
