How about heating the syrup a little, then run it through flat filter then through your press? That should get the big stuff out first.

It depends on how cold you can keep it. The colder the better. With higher sugar and warm temps, bacteria will grow quick. Lately with the warm temps, about 15 minutes.

You may need to turn off your blower when adding wood or try adding more pipe to your stack.

Two things I do, use a couple drops of defoamer before it gets to hot and keep a small bucket of sap available to add to cool it off quickly.
