I agree with Someclown. I prefer to tap when its ready to run. If i see a run of +4 and up i tap but never before march break.

no they can't be properly cleaned. get a food grade tank
im in sturgeon falls. tapped 100+ trees and few were running on sunday. should be good now.
i will be tapping this weekend, weather looks promising all of next week
Happy i was able to tap 109 trees yesterday with my kids. It was -5 and had about 10 trees running so should be a good mild week. So happy the season is started.
Same situation here in Sturgeon Falls. Maybe 2ft of loose snow. Can't wait to start tapping figure 3,4th week of march.
i read that these are one time use? what's the reason behind that.
