i didn't do very well today
here in Voluntown Ct. 120 dropline/buckets in ,only 2 gallons of syrup on the shelf wondering what you all think this up=coming warmtemp will do ..warm day no freeze nights.last year this pushed out...
hey,good luck,i,m hoping the same for some flo ,had early flo couple weeks ago , just came in from brushing snow off dropline bucket covers and checking tubing,
over here in S E Ct put in 40 more drop line/bucket today wet drilling for every tap,nice ,i'l finish with the rest tap/bucket tomorrow,
got the sugar shack all cleaned up ,got wood stove boiler cleaned up,new pipe this year, R O new elements . i use drop lines and 5 gallon buckets to clean up tomorrow
thank god for the hard freeze ,i was able to tap couple dozen trees ,w/drop lines several running right away ,got the shack cleaned up ,gotta getsome new stove pipe and flush the r o
you might be right ,i'm thinking the same , but i still have mud back in the bush ,makes everything harder to do

hey ,just saw your post,,, kinda funny we're pulling taps here in Connecticut , hope you do well ,we have nights in the 40's and days in the 50/60's
yup ,that's the plan ,start pulling gear in the rain saturday lol. tv said thunderstorm later on

hi i'm in the same boat 150 tap ,dropline to 5 gal bucket ........ i center a 100 gallon collection container that ,that area's buckets gets dumped into .that gets pumped to shack sap container...

that happened to me w/one barrel i got a cow water barrel heater ,set it on top,took 2 days to melt ,,its an aluminum ring heater w/ cord you plug in ,

hi i saw your post ,i just finished making and used once a vacuum filter ,from stock pots stacked , the orlon cone was horrible... anyway the flat orlon polyester filter material came in today...
the other day i saved half a barrel of ice ,melted it w/cow water bucket warmer and checked it ,,,30 gallons,,, w,sap hydrometer to find just over ,,0,, % ,i do drop lines to buckets,mostly silver...

got about 20 gallons left of post R.O concentrate left to evap ,,gonna get it close and chill it for next boil ,,
90 gallons 1 1/2 % sap ,several full 5 gallon buckets , all going through R O overnight , recirculating concentrate
100 gal of sap for 1 1/2 gallon syrup ,luv my RO
100 gallons of sap put through RO gave me 40 gallons of concentrate to evaporate down to four gallons to finish off filtering along the way several times at transfers and then again into the bottler...
