After reading the manual for the 3rd time, LOL, I realized that I started with the valve open all the way instead of half, like a rinse cycle. This week I should get a good run so I'll try it the...
Thank you!
I bought a used Leader Micro 2 RO this season that was only used for one season prior to me. I did a rinse, wash with RO soap PH 10-12 and a second rinse. Sap has been slow so far but I had 120...
I finished tapping 210 trees on 2/21. It just started flowing a little in last couple days, only about 60 gallons. I'm thinking it will break loose soon. Good luck everyone!
I went for it yesterday, we got 165 done and will finish the rest by Monday. It's going to run this week in Northwest NJ.
I did pull the trigger on a nice used Leader Micro 2 RO last week after a...
I would've tapped on Monday and Tuesday had we not got 30". Today and next 2 days would be a nice run. I'll post pics of my vacuum setup. I still don't have an RO.
Why are you you back?
I thought you moved on to warmer weather living.
Welcome back !
...The End.
I finished tapping on Saturday. 160 taps in, boiled 90 gallons on Sunday and just collected 150 gallons today to boil on Friday. OK start I'd say. Good luck everyone.

Trees were dripping . Good luck.
I'm in Blairstown and will tap this weekend.

I've boiled 3 times so far a total of 620 gallons and have about 10+ gallons of finished syrup. A cold few days and then sap should be running again on Friday or Saturday....
Next weekend

Then come up to Hardwick and set a few poles and fix the lines for us. LOL . In all seriousness , be safe out there. I did collect 120 gallons on Wednesday before storm , 1.8 % sugar which is my...
Glad my evap isn't electric, lol. SaP is running a bit today and yesterday. Lots of lines down in Blairstown, Hardwick. Maybe boil later today. Be safe at work.
1000 gallons average weight of 1 gallon is 8 pounds. 8000 is a large load
I got about 90 gallons yesterday, hoping it doesn't spoil by Sunday, hoping for a bit more. Some Reds have big buds on them though.

Mine is a 7/12 pitch. sheathed with plywood topped with ice shield awaiting metal this summer . $200 for wood and about $250 for ice barrier . NO DRIPS at all !!! I've seen people use tyvek on the...
