I’ve got my sap almost ready to bring in to finish, but I forgot about sanitizing mason jars so they’re running through the cycle on my dishwasher… while those run should I filter the sap before...
I’ve got a turkey fryer set up, and I’m boiling down 10 gallons or so, and wondering if I can boil it down to a couple gallons, and freeze the remaining sap to combine with my final batch this week...
Okay it’s looking like 45 today, 51 tomorrow and 48 Friday. Each night dipping back below freezing. Should I put ice in the buckets? I can’t boil until Friday night or Saturday morning.
I’ve had buckets out for a few days, and it’s going to get up to 50° today and tomorrow, but freezing over night. Is that going to be too warm? Not sure how fast sap goes bad at that temp
