Thanks Dave and Dr. Tim. '
Going to get started on it for next season. It'll be quicker then think. Good info.
Yes, would this be the best use of these membranes? Do you recall an article on how to plum these?
Yes it was. It was 2 in series and one in parallel. Maybe another site, can't remember. Seems I use the term a lot these days. I may be senior but at least I'm on the right side of the sod. Gotta be...
Last spring someone posted a 3x400 gpm setup. I've searched throughout the forum and have not been able to find it. Does anyone know that post lies?
Thought I would repost this for anyone looking for an easy way to flush your lines.
Shut my pumps off Monday. Done for the season. Now comes the clean up.
26F here at 8:30 . Took up my buckets Friday, still 110 on vacuum, hope for one more shot.
Thanks I'll work on that today. Just read your article on the parallel and series setup. when I get the first problem solved I will look at possibility of converting. I have a 6-150 setup.
I have a 6-150 setup. Would you go 4 parallel and 2 in series. I see where this could help my situation.
I did the test and went up to 150 but under pressure it won't.
I put new membranes in and it did't help. I think mine is a pump issue. Can't get any pressure.Looked for a diaphragm and with shipping was about 50.00 bucks.
I put new membranes in last night.
I have 6- 150 Gpd with a aquatec 8800 worked well a week ago then we h5 days of cold temps. I flushed the membranes and sealed till yesterday. I have sealed cabinet with a light bulb in it. Now can't...
3% this morning on 11 yard maples.
Vinegar and water. Heat and let it set overnight and scrub in the morning with a SS scrub pad.
I have my operation in my pole barn. Birds can come and go. I cover everything with SS covers.
Planning on it.
Thanks I'll try that.
Today I made my first sap boil Overall it worked great It boiled much faster then it did before the conversion . Had a rolling boil in the 2 runs on the left side of the front pan , but the right or...
Just wondering what % dryness everyone is looking for in there wood. I've got wood ranging from 8% to 16%. What's the nominal percentage ?
Dave, The restricted area goes to the stack base. I will go back in and drop it down and see how it reacts. I am using a non contact temp. reader.
You might also want to put another valved line straight into the warming pan to add extra sap at draw off .
Thanks for the reply.
One other question I was thinking today is would it be better for the boil process to reverse the pans, with the short pan in front?
