Your exhaust shouldn't be going uphill. It should be pitched downhill from exhaust.

Not true. Last I knew, cdl pumps were of China origin. Becker pumps are manufactured in Germany and are good quality. Their facility in the US is in Ohio. I have personally been there and toured it....
I would start by changing the filter. Regardless, that float should be letting oil back down into pump. Do you have leaks? That will make oil foamy and light and make it want to spit up into exhaust...
An h20 dealer or mes
It's probably one of two things or both: the exhaust filter is full of oil and not letting the condensation vapor by and out the exhaust or there should be a float up in that top exhaust port that...
Depends where I de-sugar. On early season runs when not boiling everyday, I run into head tank and go to about 2%. Once the season get rolling and we're boiling everyday, I de-sugar back into raw sap...
I've used the cv2 since they came out. Install over 8,000 every year. Never had to reset any of them. I've had other problems with quality in manufacturing, but spout loosening in tree is not a...
Google gpi flowmeters (great plains industries). We've had one for eight years now. It is accurate, never had to change the batteries, and has recorded 2.5 million gallons of sap
Boil deep. That will change the grade big time.
To be honest, I don't have any experience with the other style pumps Becker offers. It is my understanding that the rotary vane pumps are best suited for the maple application. They do the best with...
I have been a dealer for Becker for almost a year. Have a few of them in the field. All rotary vane. They are a reliable pump that pull very good vacuum. Most importantly, customer service is very...
I am not familiar with those ros, but u cups are installed on "flow in" end of membrane. On my ro u cups are on bottom because that's the way flow comes in. U cups are installed on membrane so the...
Trans o 580 does not solidify in cold weather, but I am fairly certain that a blend of organic plant oils are part of the ingredients
Vane or ring pump? They make both. I don't have any experience with the vane pumps but we use to run an A30 ring pump. Recovery and forgiveness was not good. If you're going to end up with 1500 taps...
Good luck this year!
If 2% slope is the best you have, you would benefit from a wet/dry system.

I use a one way t on the downhill side of the tree for the last tap on a line. Same for 3/16&5/16 tubing. Eliminates the dirty dead spot behind tree which is also where a lot of animal damage occurs....
On our last boil, I will get the rig as low as possible (we have a 4x14) usually I try to get 1/2" below the flues(we have air injectors). I'll drain flue pan into a 50 gallon barrel and boil...
It's really quite simple to interpret and understand. Syrup is currently being bought at the docks at Bascoms. His buyers around the country are not taking in syrup on his behalf until mid May
I know what you mean. They seem fragile. Filled 1000's of them though and never had one break...
Looking at pics, I'm pretty sure the problem started on the underside of pans. You can see holes that are started, but not all the way through yet. Fairly certain it's from the fuel residue.

Is there any shiny ss showing on bottoms of pans? Do you use off road diesel? #2 fuel oil? Cut with kerosene? I believe it may be oxidation of fuel oil residue.....is your Burner tuned properly? You...
Did you clean bottom(underside) of pans after the season last year?
