Well, what a crazy year. I have run out of wood. . . . Had to bring a load of pallets to burn. . . I've pulled 1/3 of my taps since I have too much. . . . Even made Maple candies this year. Too...

Well, near South Haven, put in half the taps today, no sign of drips. Let's hope for a great season!

Well, is the season over? So far I have boiled 7.4 gallons, it is a record for me, 3 years in.

I am 20 miles south of St. Cloud and have one tap in. Nothing in the bucket yet. Very different from last year.

OK, I am relatively new to making maple syrup (my 2nd year), I have read somewhere that you should tap a tree for 3 years and then skip a year. Do you agree with this? If so, do you totally skip...
