I finally got my lines and pumps all set. I noticed my new 3" moisture trap from CDL leaks some air through the bottom nipple. I assumed this was for draining the water out but didn't figure it was...
They sent the barcodes as a jpeg in a zip file. Also a spread sheet with all the different numbers associated with the barcodes
Trying to be sure my membranes are good. Spring water is 8ppm according to TDS. Yep. Only 8. After running through RO it measures 1ppm. I haven't washed yet and only ran 150ish gallons across 3...
I get it. But if they work for the few retailers I supply I don't feel the necessity of spending $750 for a few barcodes followed by an annual fee of $250. I sell at a few local establishments. ...
Update. We bought gs1 barcodes through a broker. Pro: they are MUCH cheaper.
Con: larger markets (Walmart, Amazon and such). Don't accept them unless you have a gs1 certificate.
We tried...
We are currently getting custom labels made. We want to put barcodes on to help out our retailers. The info we found is 10-100 different barcodes cost $750 and then a $150 yearly renewal fee or you...
I have an opportunity to buy a bulk tank and the pump is still there and could buy that as well.
Does anyone know much about sutorbilt pumps and if that would work as a vacuum pump for maple?
It...
Blew my 330 procon up. Having a hard time finding anything let alone nearby. Anyone familiar with a replacement pump of a different brand? Or a procon supplier in PA?
I currently have a 2.5x8 foot drop flue. I seem to get about 60-70gph. We have tons of people come for tours where we are at and it gets crowded in the shack.. The arch is in desperate need for...

Wasted an hour of my life and an hour of my wifes as well. Can't figure out how to post a pic. Just says file error.
When you say reverse the 5/16 lines. Mine are probably only 1/4. And then...
I had trouble with my releaser, 12x12x18x6 model 12-280 lappierre. One side would charge to 26"+ and the other side only to 16" vacuum. I tore it apart and cleaned it with hot soapy water. I was...
Propane with a commercial burner under it. Holds about 18 gallon of syrup. 5 gallon of water I believe. Haven't timed it per batch but I'm guessing about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Typically do 15 gallon...
I'm looking to speed up my bottling operation. It currently takes me a solid 10 to 12 hours to bottle a 55 gallon drum. Most of the time is consumed just heating syrup to temp in my water jacket...
MES membrane. I open needle valve the whole way. About 4 gpm concentrate and 2 gpm permeate. CDL soap wash. I check it with ph strips. I let wash run for couple hr usually. I have a feed pump to...
End of season I rinsed 300 gal. Washed with soap. 300 more gal. Acid wash 24 hr soak. 300 gal rinse and another wash followed by 300 gal rinse. After a week I went to pull my membranes and as I...
Lost a third of our tap count this year. That being said we have almost made what we did last year. Upgrades to vacuum system has helped.
Boiled 2x today. 1st thing this morning and just finishing...
My arch is showing some serious signs of age and wear. The front has a large crack above the door and the back at the flue is scaling away pretty fast.
Has anyone built something that handles the...
We are about 500ish less taps this year but have made 108 gallons already as of today. Last years total was 180. We may make that yet this week if temps do what the weather man is saying. Not sure...
We processed about 3500 gallons the past 3 days with some still in the tanks. Looking forward for things to slow down for a day or so.
We bought new cloth filters for our 7" press. Used them for the first time last night and they leaked like crazy.
Was told to wet them first so pulled them out washed them and then tried to...
Interesting. I bought my 2nd wb20 this year and it leaks as well. My first I have had for 10 years maybe? Not positive but I have never had many issues. First time I fired the new one up this year...
At Lowes tonight on trip # 4,283 for some more plumbing fittings and I saw electrical elements for hot water heaters.
I have a stainless pot with an extra 1" hole. Are these accurate with the...
Just over the hill from PaddyMountain. We spent monday tapping our mountain Red Maples. We still have our lower woods of Sugars to tap and hopefully can squeeze that in Saturday. Got home from...
