I'm right on the Raymond/Candia line. Just off of Rt. 101
Tapped about 30 trees today and I couldn't be happier. Sap was running almost a staedy stream. Could fall asleep to the pidder-padder in the buckets.
I have some buckets that were given to me that have a little bit of rust. Are these okay to use or does it affect the sap? Any help is appreciated....
I discovered the same thing about 1/2" mainline. Unfortunately it was after I had purchased 300 feet of it. Oh well, I'll just have to make it work.
I had the same question as well for my first time tubing this season (and on gravity as well). My only other question is, do you leave the top end of your mainline open to allow flow, or cap it?
