Your wood stove is for heating the house and a controlled burn for max heat output over a period of time. With an evaporator you want as much heat as quick as possible to makeit pans boil hard. So...
if you were to ask me I would say that that is left over foam that syuck to the edge of the pan. even if you skim you sometimes leave a little behind. Could be sugar sand but looks to stringy.
