Tapped the 28th. By the next day I had 110 gallons of sap. It seemed a little light on sugar content, around 2.6%. Boiled down to a little over 14 quarts. Nothing running since then and the mud in...

Another big run today 115 gallons from 50 taps. With the forecast for the 50's again Tuesday, doesn't it have to wind down soon?
It continues to run. I got 95 gallons today on 51 taps. I've got a couple real large trees with two taps in them, both buckets were running over. Looks like it might be good for a couple days.

11338 For having so much snow, it was the best day yet. Still haven't hit a gallon per tap per day, but did get half gallon a tap!
Things are slow just like last year. I started putting 20 bags in on the 11th and another 30 pails on the 15th. Only have around a total of 30 gallons of sap so far. Monday it was around 70...
Couldn't wait any longer, so tapped a few trees. But just like everyone else all dry. Hopefully this next week will wake up the trees.
I boiled down about 200 gallons of sap to about 5 gallons of syrup Saturday. The sap sugar content was mostly 2.5, but the last stuff i gathered on Saturday was around 2. Took 12 hours to get it...
I tapped twenty large trees on the northside of our 10 acre woods. Only one tree was dripping. Nothing on Monday, but got 10 gallons Tuesday. Weather looks like it will be hit and miss the next...
What type of bags do you have? I've got to get some more bags after this year, so if there is a difference I'd like to know. I've been using blue bags for a couple years and haven't seen a problem...
Tapped one "test" tree last Sunday, had about an inch in the bottom of the bag tonight. Tapped another 8 while i was in the woods. One of the bigger trees we have was dripping pretty good when i...
I'm in southern Wisconsin, right next to the state line. Usually we tap the first or second week in march. Tried late February one year but didn't get much. Since it's just a hobby, we usually are...
I've only got 10 taps in. Last two days got about 15 gallons of sap a day. The 10 taps I'm using are on bags, might put a few buckets out later this weekend after the rain goes through.
I finally got 10 taps in! Tried to tap Sunday but it was to darn cold. Tapped them after work today and it's dripping pretty good. Makes me feel like spring is coming when i've got some taps in! ...
I'm in southern Wisconsin right on the Wisconsin and Illinois border. It's just a hobby that we've been doing in my family for at least 4 generations. Tapped about 50 trees this year and got over...
I couldn't take take it any more ;) I had 51 taps and got about 45 gallons of syrup. Considering its just a hobby, I don't think i have enough family and friends to give it away before next spring! ...
The last two weeks we got about 200 gals of sap. Boiled the first batch of about 80 gallons into a little less than 2 gallons of syrup. My wife says it's better than ever. Was going to boil today,...
I tapped 10 on the 10th, got maybe a cup in each the next day. Tapped about 20 more on the 13th and another 20 on the 14th. Only got about 30 gallons of sap. While we still have a couple inches of...
