Still going in North Central Wisconsin but slowed down being tapped since Feb 27th is getting us. 2500 taps on gravity 16x6 . close to 50 face cord burned up but we keep nearly 150 on hand yearly.

We tap 3000 taps on gravity and cook on 6x16. Cook 300 gal an hour usually 8 to 10 hrs a day on good runs

We have always used torches a little trial and error to figure out how much heat to give it. I don't know if it will work with tubing on vacuum but don't know why not if your careful.

We usually pump in evening and what runs and freezes will thaw as fresh sap runs we use stainless dairy bulk tanks so worst case a torch works

We use a wrap around the tree with old piece of mainline, more forgiving if height is off or something falls on line
