I rinse the holders with plain water. And ya a warm spell on a sap sak with sap residue inside gets funky.. Mold grows fast

I gathered about 200 gallons today and they been still dripping since midday ;-)

Wet snow made it a bit slick out.


Pulled 30 or so leaky bags from bite marks.....

Well after this nice weather i hope Saturday brings us some sap!! And a good rain to wash the snow away before i collect it.

How is the flow? Been boiling down a bit here and there..a small run collected last night and today. I think were in for a good run or two this week

I tapped a few small trees i will cull anyway and some did good..If i was wanting the best growth and future for the smaller trees i would think it be best to wait and give them the pass.
