I have 2 inch and a half lines(wet, dry) running through a 30" round road culvert. I keep the vacuum running so it doesn't freeze under the road and have had no problems for 8 years.
No, but if you make maple syrup, you might want to join.
As of last week, Bascom's is only selling 55's and 30's. no 40's. The price of a 30 is 5 cents more per pound.

We have ours through Nationwide.

They are all made by Hillside Plastics (Sugarhill).
Having gone through a few of these thermometers, I realized that the weak point is the connection between the stainless probe and the flexible mesh connection. Submerging this connection into the...

Has anyone heard if the bulk price for syrup for 2015 has been set? I have customers waiting for payment for sap I purchased.
Any wine and beer making store carries this. The dosage amount is right on the Leader package.
On a call to Bascom's this morning, they said that the bulk price would not be set for another month by the Quebec Federation. Bascom's is presently buying all Grade A @ $2.35/lb. and any other...
Yesterday was our last boil. 785 gallons of sap at 0.6%; thank goodness for the RO which gave me 7.6% concentrate.
Soon as most of the snow melts, I find a tick in my beard. Luckily s black tick shows up well with a white beard.
