We got 170 gallons of syrup from about 900 taps of buckets and gravity tubing.
from marathon up by wausau. planning on about 1000 taps maybe more if we get motivated and have the time
I am from central wisconsin and we usually tap around march 20-25 but our woods slopes to the north so it is always a week or two later then the neighbors.
ya i dont have electricity for mine either so i got a 6.5 hp motor for it and have a 12 inch pulley on the pump.
Mark, how big of pulleys are you running on your setup?
I plan on running an sp11 on about 400-500 taps this spring and i was wondering how fast you can spin these pumps without destroying them?

We got about 350 gallons off of 1000 buckets
Attempt to get 500 taps on vacuum to get a start on the switch from buckets to line. Should be a fun experience getting everything to work. Plus building a preheater for our evaporator.
