Yes. When just running water there us nothing for pump and membranes to do. But add a little sugar (sap) to the mix and they have to start working,pressure goes up.You will wonder why you didnt get...

New bush 60+ taps tapped Fri. 3/1. 150 gallons of clear sap. Got 200 gallons from 700+ taps ,drilled 2/4 some. Barrels had 2" some 10 gallons, some nasty.Crocus are blooming and daffodils are close....

Tried it. Had 50% 0f the bottles mold on top. After dipping in wax a bubble would break thru the wax seal.

When we still did buckets, 5gal plastic, some nice 30" trees in the grove by sugar shack. some days had to empty twice.

Done! Almost 230 gal. bottled. First run was 2/7. Had a lot of off days but no warm spells when it was not running. Pretty lucky gravity did not dry up. Will start thinking about next year tomorrow!!

23056 Running good after 10 days

Calling for high teens,low 20s tonight then 45-50 mid week. We will see if my tap holes held up.

Ran a little yesterday, some cloudy. If it looks slow today might dump barrels and wait to see what happens after this cold spell.
