Hi everyone! Good to see you all back at it! We tapped here March 1.. ran well a couple of days.. slow today. Forecast looks good for the week!

Well, Our clan is certainly exhausted too. Finished our last batch this morning. Not a bad season at all! Average sap/syrup ratio this year was 31:1, Amazing really!!

Gonna pull spiles now.. hope...

To be fair.. I hadn’t collected yesterday.. so perhaps the tsunami was yesterday! But 315 L of sap in 2 days.. not shabby

... and our sap tsunami hit.. every single bucket overflowing!!

First boil of the season. Very very cloudy!! 130L of sap made 4.35 L syrup, sap:syrup ratio, 30:1. Sugar content 2.88%

Finally got 25 taps in yesterday. What a late start it is! I second Karen’s comment!! Bruteman what a great evaporating set up! Way to go!!!

Yes Turkey.. a bit disappointed.. looks like no good weather fir another couple weeks. If so, it may be a very short season

Yes.. the sugar content amazing right now.. we were swamped a few weeks back.. it's been a great year!! Gonna break from it this weekend and maybe continue next week if buds don't beat me to it. Glad...

Well.. sugar content finally high!! Boiling at 1:29 sure beats 1:60.. doing a batch tonight and we may continue through until next week we'll see! It was a strange but prosperous season for sure.....

Your run will come in hopefully soon. I find it so crazy the climate changes even from us to you Karen. In the meantime, youve at least got nearly 3 litres of that beautiful initial syrup! It's worth...
