I used one of these for the first time this year and it is everything it's advertised to be. What a difference it makes!
I have 4 laterals running down to my mainline. 3 are running but the fourth is dry. In the fourth one there is no sap in the drops but if I pull a spout, the sap runs out of the tap hole. What the...

Thanks
Where do you locate the control for your blower. I want to use a rheostat and locate it by the somewhere near the doors so it's simple to turn it off when I put wood in the stove. How do I get the...
OK, so I bought a used 30"x10' evaporator and the guy took the brick out so we could move it. Now I'm ready to re-brick it but I don't know where to start. It seems like I should do the bottom first...
I'm not sure where to place the temperature probe on my auto drawoff. In the drawoff section of my syrup pan, or in the section upstream of the drawoff section, or someplace else?
Thanks
Thanks for the info!
I need a syrup pan thermometer. I know how a standard thermometer works but I don't understand a 0-50 thermometer works. Does 0 = 212 deg F or what?

OK, first of all, thanks to all who answered my last thread.

Thanks,...
Thanks to responses from this group,I made a decision to by a used 30"x10' raised flue, wood fired evaporator. It came with a double Marcland draw off but it is in a box and needs to be reassembled...

Is a 30" wide evaporator an odd size? What I mean is will it be harder to find replacement pans than if I bought a 24 or 36 wide evaporator?
Is it better to use full port ball valves rather than reduced port?
I'd like to know more about your draw-off.
Thanks to all who gave me some input. I may have to change my plans a little if I can't push the sap all the way to the front. If I get it figured out I'll let you all know.
