I have a wayne combustion systems Model FH Oil burner. I got it free from work and I replaced the pump. I now need to get the correct nozzle sizes so that I get the right amount of heat.
How many...
Im down here in washington county and i boiled april second last year. It all depends. I am saying we have 3 more weeks. Rough approximation.
Sorry to finally get back to you here. I am using a plc to control my vacuum pump and electric releaser and the pump to pump the sap to the sugarhouse. I made my own Liquid level detection circuit...
Hello everybody,
For those of you that do not know me. I am a college student studying Electrical Engineering. I have already designed and built prototypes for a device that would protect vacuum...
Well, I'm getting everything ready here. Most of the spiles are changed and now I've just got to install this programmable logic controller and I'll be set. Going high tech this year!!!
I have a 3 X 10 evaporator. I would like to switch to natural gas. Does anybody have any suggestions on natural gas burners?
Slide fittings are the only way to do it
Got 600 tapped today. Gonna head out in the morning to tap the other 200. Then I have more tubing to put out and maybe another 100? Time permitting?
First year on R.O. and first year on BRAND NEW...
Breezy. How many rods would you be interested in. I will ask around. I know a few local machinists.
Theron. I am with you there. I also think that tapping early in January will not effect yield because the sap will not grow in the cold tempuratures. The exact reason we keep our food in the freezer.
The connecting rods in my bb2 look very similar to a broken piece of one from my sp11. Just wondering if the connecting rod would be interchangeable.
If that is the case, then I will take my pump...
2015 is here and soon will be the 2015 syrup crop. I am going tot be tapping here this week in southwestern pa. May the sap be with you!!!
Post on this thread how your season is going!!! anybody...
Anybody know where crown maple gets their glass bottles?
It depends what rpms the engine will need to be ran at. My 6.5 HP Briggs and Stratton has to run at or below 2500 rpm. It does not produce much power until around the 3000 range which is powerband....
Has anybody out there ever smoked their transformer at the pole? I did the math and my sugar house with everything running will pull about 9.6 KVA on my 10 KVA transformer:o. I am worried that...
A capacitor on a single phase motor does not "give extra juice" to the motor like most people think it does. It just knocks the current out of phase on the start winding to get the initial rotation...
Three phase motors are much cheaper. Due to less mechanical components inside the motor. They are also less likely to fail under a load. And as far as saving money on your bill, you will not make a...
I have pulled down a vacuum guage down to 29 inches before by mouth. Its crazy but most people can do this in fact.
All done. Cleaning things up. Made 201 gallons from 500 taps. Im pretty satisfied with my production. Burnt too much wood... 25 cords....
I made 0.4 gallons per tap. That is a little better than a qt and pt per tap. 201 gallons from 500 taps. This season was slightly above average and was the year of high vacuum. If you don't have...
My stack temperature is 1400 degrees. Would air over fire help to bring this down? Is there anything else I can do to increase my efficiency without sacrificing boil rated. I already have auf. And...
you can make good syrup on them. Just clean them good. Check for lead solder and bad leaks. Some leaks are fixable and can be sealed inbetween boils with Filter aid or corn meal.
Andy. have you dealt with mike lynch before? I think he has mentioned you? Or maybe somebody else from your area.
Am I better off using an analog temp probe. such as a platinum rtd in a voltage divider to an analog input pin? Or some sort of digital one you speak of. And would there be an arduino library for...
