mine's been averaging around 2.25%..until today that is..checked an overflowing bucket and it didn't register...go figure:o
maybe got water in it!! going to start building an ark soon...any one got plans for one of those???
my sugars have been averaging 3+ and reds are 1.5-1.75 ( I have alot more reds than sugars so combined it is around 2 %
I tap all reds and typically don't get above 1.75. So far this year with 300 gallons, the average ahs been 1.65. Sure wish I had some sugars around here!

You got sap? I can't even float the hydrometer yet, although Wildacres says I've got the unit upside down. But tell us, how did you go from 100 taps on a pan to 2000 with an RO??? That is a rocket ride you need to share! Bruce
I am getting 2-2.5 with my reds and 2.7-3.0 with my sugars.
Got a decent run today even though it barely broke 32F - must have been the fairly warm overnight temps.
invested lots of time and money into it this year. plus theres five of us which helps. havent had much for jobs lately so weve been putting around the woods all year.
most of the taps are in new woods that really need thining, so they dont have much for crowns. do you think that could be part of the reason its low?
