9am Saturday morning. Looks like a bunch of CT folks are either tapped or will be asap!
have some sap in the line this morning. sugar content is exactly 2%.
i threw a tap in a few days ago to keep an eye on the run, nothing this morning though. need another week to get my lines up and still waiting on my evaporator too. due in any day now.
collected 30 gallons today and I'm only half tapped...tomorrow I get the pan clean and work on the sugar shack. if it runs tomorrow like it did today, i could be sweetening the pan sooner than I thought! How many of us are "almost" prepared in January and find themselves scrambling for the smallest but important items to get running??
sundaY I collected 130 gallons on 60 taps.buckets were overflowing. i also have 5 gallon pails set as well. i put in another 40 today.
