Today was a Zip
Nothing today really as it rained off and on all day and cloudy, and now more rain headed our way but up north Snow headed that way. Pipeline just dripping a little today nothing big and buckets zero. I know I am not alone in waiting and hoping and pacing and getting restless.:o

I got minimal today I'm on the nh mass border. My trees ran last night I had between 1/3 and full buckets this morning. Then today best bucket was 1/3 full. Your right on the pacing about. I have 3x as many taps this year and a much tighter route, but I've done the same driving or more for 1/4 of the sap.
-
I can see it now $70 for a gallon of syrup
-
Trees thawed out this afternoon around 3pm was coming in around 100 gallons every twelve minutes. Also looking at another 5-8 inches of snow Sunday. At least tomorrow looks good.
-
i got about 10 gallons of sap from 600 gravity taps. About what I expected.

It started flowing OK around 4pm, here in Temple (South Central) and hasn't let up too much. Just under a gallon per tap since this morning. Drew off 3G and will probably need to boil tomorrow night. I must be in a warm pocket, plus some vac helps. Hope it stays cold so the trees don't get all jumpy...
-
Yes now we want the cold to stay.
-
Late this afternoon there was a drop every now and then coming into the releasers.
-
I didn't get much yesterday either. It was coming into the releaser about as good as I have seen it this season which isn't very good. I will boil tonight for the 6th time this season and the 5th time in March. The number of times in March would only be 4 if not for maple weekend. A new record here and not a good one.
