Is it running for anybody today?
I'll check when I get home, I'd suppose it will run some today.
I was surprised to see 3 of my buckets yesterday get almost a gallon!!! No idea how the heck that happens, so im assuming they will be running again today....fingers crossed for everyone!!
It is starting to run a little here. It didn't get above freezing until noon and is now 36 with high light clouds making the sun not as bright. I don't think it will amount to much sap today as it was zero this morning and took a long time to thaw out. Hope for a better day tomorrow.
I must be just too far north. I have about 20% of my taps dripping a little. I keep checking about every 20 minutes though, PATHETIC!!!

Each of my taps ran between 0 and .1 gallon with nothing before 1o'clock. It was just to cold last night everything was in a complete freeze until noonish. Tonight looks freezing cold like 5 degrees again so I'm not overly hopeful on tomorrow although it will be a bit warmer. Sunday and early next week looks better no sun but no deep freezes. I was really hoping for a good run today and a flood tomorrow. Also I'm on the mass border I bet no one in nh on this website has taps further south than me...
So I checked mine and I got home too late to see anything since it's below freezing now and all my lines go into a barrel I can't see into. I can tell they ran some since the lines have ice in them that wasn't there before, but there is no way to determine how much.
It never thawed here until after noon. We had -3 below this morning. it's going to take a couple of days to thaw before we see any run.
Supposed to be cold again tomorrow morning so I would not expect any better results for the day tomorrow.
Hope things change and not too fast.
I ended up with about 30 gallons from about 330 taps! I had -5 this AM so a long time to thaw today. Hope it runs tomorrow, I have people screaming for syrup!
My trees near the road dripped a little today, but the tree in the woods are frozen solid. Good luck tomorrow. Lee

What time did u mosey on out of bed at ittitz? Lol Pretty cold at 5am its going to take things a bit to get going I've got nothing running yet. I saw a guys sap bags yesterday with a half gallon ish in each and I got nothing...
Tapped 10 trees Thursday night and didn't have much sap at all after yesterday. Tapped 20 last night...hoping for a good run today so we can boil tomorrow, otherwise waiting getting everything set up tomorrow and won't be able to boil until next Sunday.
9am :D I have to catch up on all the sleep I lose during the work week :PQuote:

40 taps got me a little less than 5 gallons so far today and the flow has nearly stopped as the clouds have thickened and the temp has dropped back to 40-ish. I had expected much better results today. Next potential run looks like maybe Tuesday, then another storm (northeaster??) on Thursday. Bleaugh. It's "The Winter That Would Not Die!"
+17 degrees this morning @ 6:00 AM! Thought it would be a good run today, but only got about 40-50 gallons!
Finally got some sap for me this weekend but no flood, got about 5 gal yesterday and another 8 gal today. Looks like tues will be a good run, then more snow great :( planing to boil next weekend, hopefully my sap won't spoil waiting.
Sap drizzled a little here Saturday and even less Sunday. Took too long for it to thaw out each day to amount to much. If the forecast is "right" (HAW,HAW), then maybe a great day Tuesday. Of course, they have to ruin it with more snow on Wed and cold Thur. Pray for the best.
Got about 150 gallons of sap between Saturday, and Sunday. About 60 more there tonight. Had a good boil yesterday with family and friends. Hpoing to boil again tomorrow night!
Yeah not that great, trees ran a bit today, probably better than they have in the last week and a half. Not supposed to get below freezing tonight here though, so probably won't last. Also there is no sun in the ten day forecast. bleh...
