Since we are all so dependent on Mother Nature for our chosen hobby I was wondering if anyone has a weather site that they think is somewhat accurate. Looking at the 10 day forecast for my area there are vastly different opinions on every site. One shows Next weekend high 30's to low 40's one shows 32 to 33 and one shows low 20's.
The best weather forecast is the one thats right the day after

All the sites I look at are basically the same for the short range and only vary by a few degrees. No one is particularly spot on in the longer range and it always changes daily. Weather forecasting is still a pretty inexact science. I can't fault any of them for the lack of a crystal ball:) I just keep an eye on it. Even the best service isn't going to make the trees run any sooner. Sap is like babies. It will be born when it's time to be born:)
I use the weather channel web site. Their forecast is more accurate than Accuweather for my area. I have found that Accuweather tends to predict temps that are warmer than they actually tend to be. Weather channel doesn't vary more than a degree or two unless they blow it all together.
NECN tends to be the best in New England I think

www.noaa.gov. and weather.com are the best for me. Accuweather tell fairy tails for my area.
For my area and as a farmer that needs to know dew point and low and high temp forecast I like weather channel. App on phone for free and gives me a fairly accurate 10 day. I don't like what is is predicting right now but it is the most accurate I know off for my area. It also gives the average temps in a graph with the High-Low forecast and cloudy sun partly icons.

40-1, I saw that on SBI too, tried to use it but failed. It said it needs flash player but my phone and tablet wont support it. I might try it on our lap top to see if that works.

While predictions are rarely close, I think each need to look at several and find the one that is closest for them. These sights all use the same raw data but they all interpret it differently. There is likely one that comes closer to accurate for your area, but the one that gets mine closer may be a different sight.
This is more than a Chevy vs Ford Vs Dodge Vs Toyota type thing. Check all the weather services for your area and track them all for the season. Then you might see one that gets it closer for you, but it may not be the same one that will next year. Good luck!
Remember, most get tomorrow's weather righ so how can we expect them to get 5, 10, 15 or 30 days out right. They may however get a trend right.
