Since M hasn't seen the invoice for the filter press thingy, then you could do the same with the vacuum pump. Buy it, see if she notices, if she does then beg forgiveness...easier that way and you get what you want. Isn't that what Wall Street does?

you can always embrace the tune the Supremes have sung and allow some special interest outsider groups to campaign on your behalf. You don't even have to approve the message. That way if all hell breaks loose you can just blame them.
The Lorax: I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues. And I'm asking you sir, at the top of my lungs - that thing! That horrible thing that I see! What's that thing you've made out of my truffula tree?
The Once-ler: Look, Lorax, calm down. There's no cause for alarm. I chopped just one tree, I'm doing no harm. This thing is most useful! This thing is a "thneed." A theed, a fine something-that-all-people-need! It's a shirt. It's a sock. It's a glove! It's a hat! But it has other uses, yes, far beyond that. You can use it for carpets, for pillows, for sheets, for curtains! Or covers for bicycle seats!
The Lorax: Sir, you're crazy. You're crazy with greed. There's no one on earth who will buy that fool thneed!
[a man drives by, buys the thneed and pays the Once-ler]
The Once-ler: The birth of an industry, you poor, stupid guy! You telling me what the public will buy?
how about a tarrot card reading of your maples like this person did on an 80 year old maple.
Why yes, oh yes Red Roof, precisely, strike the nail on the head as you always do, ah Margarita Femenino. Twas many years ago in Pamplona, flapping my pantaloons ahead of a herd of horns, when I stumbled and squeezed into the oh so narrow doorway to the secret of life: voluntary servitude, or to view my present existence palatably, Wonder in the Daisies. And speaking of wonder, perfect weather and conditions yet another 100 gallons of sap, mostly ice melt in the tanks. And to think I actually had the audacity to draw contingency plans for four 1,000 gallon sap days in a row.
Thoughtful and honest advise, that's what Red Roof Maples is all about. There are many a sugarmaker that sucks and squeezes because of my praises and advise on the technology. So pop the cap an your favorite boiling soda and play with your toys while dreaming of others.
Watched the ABC News because I had squat to boil and they said Congress may crackdown on High Frequency Traders. Got a little nervous cause they seem to sticking their noses into just about everything. I didn't realize they were running GM now and a guy told me they actually own them. Don't think my 446 posts since 2008 would qualify as High Frequency Trader cause other Traders, and you know who you are, have like 4,000 posts and might end up an embarrassment like that Clemens guy. So on a whim called Doc RB's cell figuring he'd have the inside scoop. Yup Doc RB answered and said he was in Niece because he sold some GTAT and is beaching the maple season this year on the Rivera, in France! Told him my map says Nice is on the Rivera but he said no it really was Niece but nice. Honestly, his humor confuses me but he's usually a couple steps ahead of me. Well Doc said high frequency is not an issue for me but Insider Trader might be more it. Geez, no sap, M is onto the filter press AND now I gotta worry about explaining myself to Congress.
You got my attention with that High Frequency Trader thing. I only check in here during the winter and spring so my 3288 post since 2002 should keep me off of the list. Summer and Fall should be low enough frequency to get me a Mulligan.
Well Red Roof I really don't know about that. I see you claim the DoodleBug is a Ford but maybe you oughta swap out the ignition switch just to be on the safe side. Then if Congress starts grilling you on the High Frequency business you can shift their focus cause they don't seem to stay on a subject for more than a day or two. Sure hope I get some sap to focus on pretty soon.
Still making DA. Sap is clear and foamy, just not much of it. Snow in the woods, frost in the ground and ice in half of the tanks, but the night temps aren't sharp enough to fully charge the trees. Still got ice in the driveway cube from February 23rd so it ain't over.
