Buckets are all full and the taps(The usual ones, some aren't) are running. Time to boil. Buy the time I get 3 hours into it I'll have more sap.

Sounds great! Seems like today will be a good day also. My sap was running better yeaterday afternoon and this morning as well. Have a great time!
Good times! How'd you do? I burnt the crap out of my first batch, hope you do better than I did
Having fun here in Killingworth I made about 4-5 gallons so far from 123 taps did not run too good for me today hope it gets cold tonight and warm tomorrow. Boil baby Boil
A "helper" helped me almost burn a batch...fortunately caught it early, drained off the little in the pan (key was little) and cleaned then refilled. Helper is on to other things, I'm keeping an eye on things again. I have so much time invested in this stuff, can't afford a burnt pan. I might cry if that happens this year as the sap is running slow.
Im planning to boil again tommorow, sap ran good last 2 days, have about 1400 gallons in the tank to boil saturday and looks like it should run again saturday too. Still have a few more taps to get in, but season is going well so far, made 62 gallons
I was hoping to boil again this weekend but sap is running slow. Only have half of what I need to crank up the fire. Sugar is also low. Getting 2 quarts per 35 gallons.
Nice light amber and it taste great on my yogurt.

ctfarm, do you guys tap sugars or red maples or a mix, we have primarily red maples, maybe 80 percent, and im at about 70 gal to gal syrup, i tested my one area of 85 sugar maples and that sap was barrely any higher, crazy year
I'm all Sugar Maples. I don't have a sap hydrometer, but the last boil I only got 2 quarts out of 34 gallons. Sap is running good today.
my sugar maples are running 1.5%....
