Nice work! Did you or are you going to insulate the door?
No we decided not to because the arch itself is so insulated that we are worried we will not have enough heat to heat the sugar shack.Quote:

I just picked up a small but powerful squirrel cage fan. We are thinking about fabricating some sort of manifold underneath the grates.Quote:

Once it is up and running, after a few hours the brick will be hot enough to heat the sugar shack.. Not to mention once you get a good forced air draft you will be opening the door to feed it about every 15 minutes minimum.. I use a stanley squirrel cage fan right in the top center of my fire.. and it will flat out eat the wood.
