35 taps = less than 2 rolls of tubing. You could do this on snowshoes up to your wazoo and put in drops and tap in a couple of hours. 35 taps is a do it whenever where ever kind of thing.

I would not wait till may 2012 to get it done.
Better to get it up early than wait. Know reason to wait to work in the snow unless you are not ready. Dosn't matter weather you are doing one or a thousand nobody with any sense would wait if they have the time now.
Im trying to figure out why hes going to cut 10 maple trees down for a barn. Are you feeling okay?:D
I am gonna buy the first 400' of mainline today, hope to start running it this month

Guess I don't understand the question,Wiam???
don't worry about the ten trees we have 10 more acres of maples that we will tap when ever we get enough money:D
[QUOTE=Greenwich Maple Man;161991]I guess I think you are pretty rude to say some of us that are saying to wait till spring have no sense. The point is why put up just 35 taps worth of tubing and chance it getting buried in snow or branches if it can be put up in a couple of hours just before sugaring. I put up my 1000 taps in a week in mid Feb one year. If I were putting up 1000's of taps I would start now, but not 35.
