yes it was purely for cost, I am pouring a reinforced pad under the evaporator, I was going to pour the rest later, but the stone is packing in so well, I may not concrete the rest. if you can afford to do it, go for it, it will be a lot nicer
The whole thing looks very nice. Are you going to pour the section under the evaporator yourself? Around here you have to get minimum of 4 or 5 yards.

Nice looking shack, I took on the task of building a new sugarhouse this summer also a lot of work but very rewarding in the end
well we are ready for the evaporator, I bring that home tomorrow!--got the smoke stack all in--
