Pump Recommendations
Hi Everyone,
We're just small time, 80 or so buckets. I have a 65 gallon poly leg tank in the bed of a pickup that we use for transporting sap back to our shack. We have a 150 gallon sump bottom poly tank sitting up on what was a fuel barrel stand. We'll need to pump sap from the bed of the truck to the top of the 150 gallon tank, maybe 12 ft. off the ground. Could someone recommend a pump? We do have access to electric for the pump. Thanks in advance! Ted

Honda makes a little 1.5" pump. Works great we pump sap 2000' with it.

With electric available I'd suggest a SS sprinkler pump in 1 HP. I use this one https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...1411_200311411
However, if you will also need a pump to move sap when you have no electricity, look at a Honda WX10 or WX15.

Have them watch for sales, it seems to go on sale about 4 or 5 times a year.

I'll let them know, thanks again! Any suggestion as to what hose/ tubing and connectors I should use? Ted

I"m a fan of the honda pumps too. I've had the WX15 for a while now and it just works.

I like the RULE brand bilge pumps, 12 volt, quiet, small, submersible, and pretty much bullet proof. get a 3000 gph and you will never look back! Plug it in the truck to transfer sap into the truck or place it in the truck tank to pump sap to your elevated tank. Put some cam locks on the required connections.
