No silo tank, unaffordable for what they are, almost double the normal tank cost.
Choo choo, gonna chew through sap…..hopefully lol

Hung around 105 buckets yesterday. Didn't think we would get sap today but with it warming up overnight I think it will begin running by afternoon.
Tapped 6 of eight 3/16 lines in back woods today.
Sap is running…trees are waking up.
Beautiful day to be outside. Getting pumped up.
Kevin. You ready for tonight’s tsunami?
Better tuck in early, it’s gonna be a long day for you guys tomorrow…5000 taps in Montville Heights..who would have thought.
Anyone boil today?
Kevin’s probably got the life jackets out… just trying to keep his head above water…and grinning all the way to the bank.
Meanwhile I’m over here polishing up the Clear Press in anticipation <grin>
Collected 115 gallons from 105 buckets. Just finished first boil. Crystal clear 3% sap. My sap has never averaged that high as far as I can remember.
sweetened the pans today and boiled a few hours . Big surprise today Sap tested at 3% . This is only the second time we have had sap that high in 40 plus years. The trees must have liked the mild temps so far. 28.67 to 1 sure is a great start.Looks like a busy week ahead. Sure do like the big maples in this bush. Remember “when the sap is runnin the saps are runnin.’
No 3% here on the lakeshore, but with mostly soft maple we are getting 2%. First boil of 2023 underway
My stand of reds were at 1.4 and the sugars were at 2.5
First boil today, huge boil, I'm guessing we got about 3.5 gal per tap in the last 24 hours. Made about 25 gallons of light amber (hanna 69) after the pans were sweatened, should have a decent boil tomorrow, but nothing like today's.
Sugar was at 2% which is good for my woods which is usually 1.5%
