Try your local grocery store. There's one near me that gives them away, but doesn't have them often. There's another that sells them for $2 with the lid, and usually has them all the time.
Do a search on craigs list some should show up.
I was in a Subway getting a sandwich and the guy was telling me how many buckets he saves for people making syrup.
I bought mine new.cost about 6.00$ A piece bucket & lid. Yeah it sounds expensive but I didn't spend a Nickle driving around trying to find them cheap or free. If you can find free or cheap that is always great, just keep in mind how much you spend looking for that great deal. Time & money both Add up. My wife will drive 50 miles to shop for A sun Dress , she won't find anything she likes. Drives home, goes to the TJ max in town & gets a 20.00$ Bargain. She still to this day can't figure it out when I tell her that it really cost 150.00$ when you Add all the expenses in to it. Sorry for the rant, point is to be thrifty and smart about it. Happy Hunting.
any deli shop, bakeries, grocery stores, restaurants, I would stay away from pickle pails
I picked up many 5 gallon buckets and lids from the local town water company. Rinse and go!
Come to farm and pick them up. 3-400 ice cream buckets. No bails, lots of lids
Yup, bakeries, ice cream shops, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Just ask and many will give them to you for free. Where does everyone buy birthday cakes around you? Those frosting buckets are great in my experience. And like the other guy said above, avoid the pickle buckets, the smell never goes away!
Toquin Where is the farm and how big are the buckets thanks
Walmart bakery. Might charge you a dollar each.
Regards,
Chris
Go to Sams ,Walmart or Meijers bakery.Might have to give them a donation for charity but its usually only .50 cents a bucket usually have 2 different sizes
I get mine from the super market at no cost.
