Well, I'm working on it. This is all me and me alone, lost my "helper" as she had to go for a nap(she's 4)
Completed 45 taps on 2 separate lines into 55 gal barrel all 3/16" it was dripping good but not heavy flow. hoping for better run over the next week and start boiling on the weekend.
I have another 45 taps to go in as well as possible another 1000' and 50 5/16" line/taps I could put in but unsure if I really want 145 taps this year to collect from and boil on my 10G/hr system.....4
It was really neat to see the line fill with sap as I was working. and hoping to do 100l finished syrup this season.
So I have a question...
I have run 1000' of 3/16" line with no changes, all drops taps etc are 3/16" longest run is about 250' with about 30' of drop from top to bottom with 25 taps on it. I managed 3 lines total with 60 taps.
I mistakenly bought a bunch of 5/16" line and have a bunch of taps, drops etc that I can use with this. Will I get good production if I run the 5/16" similar to the 3/16"?
Like the area I want to run the 5/16" line will only have about a 15' drop from top tap to collection point unless I run the last bit of line like an extra 50-100' to a lower point.
