Got about 13 gallons of sap form 27 taps yesterday. Will finish boiling tonight.
Processed 6500 gallons of sap today and made 130 gallons of syrup tonight.
boiled last two nights, RO membranes went south on me, Ordered 1 more from Joe. Made about 6 gal last two nights still sap in tank but like I said RO down.
FYI Atlantic RO had a fire lost a lot of inventory in NC, my XLE coming out of Arkansas or something.
Yea Thad looking at sites he shouldnt have been :lol: wife found out so I guess you can say the computer "crashed"
LMAO:lol::o:cry:
Blizzard boiling yesterday. Tested the new rig on water and then ran the almost 400 gallons of sap from the recent small runs through it. Worked very well and boils hard. Wasn't even running it that hard so I'm pretty sure it will do 100+/hour once I have it dialed in. Sweetened the pans and made about 4 gallons of "golden delicate" with good flavor. Probably not going to get any sap for several days so time to finish tapping and get things better organized in the sugarhouse.
Probably 2 ft. of fresh snow here and heavy winds all night. Going to be a little slower getting around in the woods.
back in the woods to remove two feet of snow off of about 3,000 ft on the wet/dry lines which were sitting on three feet of snow. Sure will be nice to have the season to start.
Pump is on and we'll see what happens. Starting to thaw and sap is trickling. About 40 here already and the winds have been honking out of the south all night. Have a few adjustments to make to the rig before the next boil, but that may not be until next week unless we actually get some sap today.
