Tapping in Ontario

Glad to hear your just about ready to go Brent now if we could just get the temps up a bit thing would start to let go!

Is it time to tap in central Ontario? That Accu Weather forecast looks good. Or would it be better to what until mid March?

I just looked again I think I'll wait even the big guys around Elmvale have not started yet.

Hey Rob just where in Barrie are you?

I find the Environment Canada forecast to be more accurate for my area than the Weather Network. I haven't compared it to any other sources.

I'm still 50-50 whether I tap on the 7-8 or on the 14-15. I may get some of my south slopes tapped the first weekend but it'll all depend on the weather forecast a few days in advance.

The Accu Weather has changed, now it shows only a few days above 0 degrees in the next 15. Where do you find a 15 day forecast from Enviroment Canada, I have only found a 5 day.

yeh I saw that too. the heat is off. Looks like the old rule of thumb for our area .. St. Patty's day for tapping

(said in a whine) I want to do it now I can't wait any longer.
I tap it warms up then winter is over,I am tired of this winter it has been too long.

5 Day is all Enviro Canada has. I use the Weather Channel for 14 day trends. It's looking more like the 14-15 will be tapping time for us if the long range forecast is correct.
