I've had numerous times when I've tried to P.M. a member but their message box is full. How about you check and remove any you really don't need any longer.
I just did that on both my in box and my sent box. Remember we have a max number of messages we can have, taking the time to "prune" the messages helps all who use the Personal Messages to speak to another member privately.
