Thanks to some great advice from guys on the site I tapped my first 15 trees. Some trees has sap flowing instantly others took a few hrs but all had sap at the end of the day.

Was flowing pretty steady in Chesterfield.....tapped in 85 yesterday
3 of us tapped about 1200,today.Easier getting around now that the snow has settled some.

Some of my 5/16" gravity lines have not produced a drop, and others are pouring the sap into the storage containers. One of my small 20 gallon storage tanks was overflowing this morning. Just be patientQuote:

Quick reading shows 1 1/2% sugar content
Boiled down 40 gallons last night. Pretty impressed with the performance of my Mason 2 X 3 With oak slab wood I was able to get about 8 gph
