I recently purchased a Wes Fab 7" short filter press with hand pump, and was looking for an electric pump to replace the hand pump. However, I realize I have no specifications for such a pump. It looks similar to my Guzzler on my vacuum system, but I have no idea if they are interchangeable. Can anyone say what I should be aiming for pump-wise?
Most have a gear pump if they use electric. I switched to an air powered diaphragm pump
Do you mean you use a compressor to drive the pump, if so, what powers the compressor? I should clarify. I don't so much care whether the pump is electric or air powered, only that I have electricity at the sugar shack so would rather use that instead of other fuel.Quote:

This model is rated to 220 degrees. Last year I used it on my 7" press even when only using 4-6 papers. Now I use it in my 10".
