First batch finished. A little dark wonderful flavor. 195 gallons of sap turned into 4.75 gallons of syrup. should of been over 5 gallon but I messed up on filtering, boil and learn.

Sounds Like A great Start!!! To Bad it looks like we will be shut down for another week with cold coming back for a stay.

The weather will shut them down but we still got 130 gallons of sap the last two days, so we will be able to boil again this weekend. Should get another 3 gallons.
Boiled on Saturday ended up with 9 1/2 quarts Attachment 13057
Another 2 3/4 gallons done. a bit to warm to be by a fire but all went well.
Finished with another 4 gallons and 1 pint yesterday. sugar a little low great flavor
