Where You at? I'm in Winthrop and we got two little runs already. 200 gals. the first time and 250 last week the day we had all the wind. Off of 72 tubing taps and close to 420 buckets
im WAY upstate also. We had runs but very little sap..i didnt boil it. Tomorrow should be our first run up here.
this is my first year doing maple syrup and ive started tapping since February 5 and have made about 27 gallons of syrup....all light fancy and has not turned yet...when will it turn and with this warm weather wont it make the buds come out?
congrats on your first season. when the buds turn out depends on your local climate and where you live. my cold sugarbush in a cold climate has not even begun to wake up. i saw some big producers finishing thier tapping yesterday....Quote:
