The Darker the syrup the thicker it is...Not

I have some neighbors that when they see me unloading equipment from my truck they think I was out making maple syrup.................Summer, fall, dead of winter, Im in Colorado. They think its like going fishing.

My best one was, "How do you get it that color?" "Do you have to add coloring and maple flavor to the sap to make it syrup?

Is that water coming into that blue thing(releaser)? that can't be sap??!!! Do have a tank out in the woods filled with water that you pump to the sugar house for show??? HUH!!!! yeah I just like to pump water so it looks like sap!!!
