Anyone used both machines? I have been batting these two around for a while as i have buddies with both brands. All i ever hear is how great one is and how bad the other is but neither has ever used the other machine.... any thoughts?

I have a Lapiere 600 and a friend has a Springtech 600 and they both preform the same. His cost more than mine but his has more of the valving and wash tank built right in to his machine, where mine has the wash tank separate and some of the valving, so I had to make up a few hoses to connect these, but I still like mine. Can you get either of the two serviced quickly is a key factor.

I like my turbo 600. The layout makes it easily servicable. It seems that with the Springtech, everything is compacted into a small area. Also the turbo 600 is $6500 cheaper!

I didn't know that there was that much of a price difference. Lapierre for sure, if I was buying today.

Wow, thanks for all the info. This year we are boiling 4300 taps with no RO and after this season i am expanding to around 8000 taps so i am doing my research now so i can be prepared for spring promotionals. Is anyone around central vt. using this new companys units yet? i would like to check one out.

Last Spring I priced out CDL, Springtech, and Laperrier 600 gph RO's and if I remember it was only about $1000.00 from lowest to highest in price. For me English speaking tech support was a huge plus.

I agree, sometimes the language barrior makes it difficult. I have a dealer nearby with allot of springteck experience. I was mostly wondering about average life expectancy on the membranes and high pressure pumps?

I have been over working my Lapierre Turbo 150 for 6 seasons. I processed over 12000 gallons of sap with it last season alone. I haven't had any problems with it and like the ease of operation. Lapierre is the company that perfected the RO for maple design with recirculation pumps on the membrane housings. When I upgrade I will look at Lapierre first and CDL second.
Springtech, D&G and Airablo are the same over priced machines and I haven't heard as many good things about them as I have about Lapierre and CDL. As for the Waterguys and other non maple RO producers I haven't seen enough data to sell me on one. There is a lot more to it than just price.
