I have a 30Amp breaker for my RO. The 3HP 450GPH CDL unit doesn't look like will happen... I have been offered a 600GPH Lapierre at the same price. Anyone know amps off hand?

I run my Lapierre on a 40 amp breaker.

I run my Lapierre turbo 600 on a 60 amp breaker. Has about a 28 foot run from the breaker box. Never had any trouble.

Ok, What are my options? All I have is 30Amps. I was using a CDL unit with a 3HP pressure pump, however, I want as big as I can get. I was supposed to upgrade to an 8" membrane unit that produced 450 GPH. That would have been great.

OLJ,
Wow a big step up from the hero that you used last season. Did you lose any trees yesterday?

Answering my own question if anyone should care. A CDL 400-450GPH unit, with a 3HP Pressure Pump, 1/3 HP Circ pump, and 1HP feed pump requires exactly 30Amps. That is probably the best I can do for what I've got. Can Lapierre sell me the same unit?

Why can't you put in a larger circuit breaker to handle more amps? It would also require heaver wire.

Interesting, I've got the same question. I'm putting in a 250gph lapierre for next year, and putting in new wiring. I'd like to put in big enough wire so I can be covered for the future if I want a 600gph unit.

I spoke with Tom @ Lapierre today.

600 GPH 40 starting amps and 25-28 running amps.
You will never hit the 40amp starting requirement because the pumps turn on at intervials.

1200 GPH
80 starting and 55-58 running.

Thanks Brian, I'm going to run #8 wire.
