Selling Bulk?

I am looking to expand for next year and was wondering who in the Michigan area buys bulk syrup? Also, how does it work as far as the containers go? Do you have a 1 time investment and you get your bulk container back or when you sell in bulk does the buyer keep your container? Thanks for any input on this, Mike

I dont know about buyers in Michigan, we have a few buyers in Wisconsin.
I have always worked out getting my barrels back from buyers.

Some buyers will supply you the drums if you bring it back full!!

If an equipment dealer tells you "buy the equipment from me and I will buy your syrup first" don't believe it. There is no problem getting rid of your syrup, the hard part is selling at bulk price after putting in all the hard work.

I buy a little bulk. 20-40 gallons per year. Olds brothers buy bulk. My number is 231-941-8003 mon-fri 7am-5pm.

Olds is 231-263-5683. better call about 4 pm when they are in the barn milking.

The equipment dealer that I get my equipment from is also the person that I Yes I decided to sell my syrup to. They will swap out barrels for the ones I bring in full. Anyone that makes syrup for profit has a choice sell to the public for the highest profit IN YOUR AREA or sell for quicker money.......................Maybe lower profit but quicker money to a wholesaler. Thats life in the fast and glorious live as a sugar maker., If you think thats unfair move to Wisconsin and become a school teacher:o
