hey guys i found a surge device they use on fish tank thats homemade its called a bourneman surge device if you look it up on youtube its on there i made one and it works for gravity and vacuum with some moddifications http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqirpq4DM2g if it doesnt work the link type it in on youtube its really cool and i plan to use my homemade one this year with vacuum:confused::D:confused::D

Exacally how will this contraption work under vac when the flapper is inside the tank? Vac would just suck it open would it not?

sounds like a billy mays thing, garented to work, but im still working on that flapper valve issue....from the video i cant see how this thing would work for maple lines but maybe i just dont understand it fully
